When our Idol was king
Brock Easterbrook began his entertainment career as an actor/stunt performer appearing on such TV shows as X-Files , Sliders , Outer Limits , The Sentinel , Two, Poltergeist, Stargate, The Commish. He also appeared in many movies over the years including Mr.Magoo, Eddie Keating, Broken Trust and Jumanji. He has doubled and stood in for such actors as Tom Selleck, Jonathan Frakes, and David Hasselhoff. Brock had always aspired to be a singer, but followed his passion for acting instead until just recently…This single song selection , which has a country rock flavour with a distinct Americana feel, is titled “When our idol was the King” and it takes us back to a time when we didn’t need to be told by someone else who was a great singer or made to cast our vote for our favourite after hearing them perform once or twice. It is a song about the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Aron Presley, but it also could apply to many other singers and performers from the past who came up through the ranks the old fashion way… with only hard work and ambition to drive them. Brock wrote the song lyrics and the music was co-written by Bob Doidge and Amy King. This trio is now in the process of doing another song to be released in the European Country scene later this year. We hope you enjoy this first offering of “When our idol was the King” available exclusively only as a digital download on itunes and Amazon.
